In the curent tough market, landlords are understandably shopping around for new agents to take on their property and let it more quickly. After nearly 5 years of steady growth the sudden slowdown is a shock for some, so we wanted to help wherever we can.

As landlords ourselves we know what we would expect from an agent so we have put together 10 questions that may help if you are comparing agents services.

10 Key questions for your Letting Agent?
1 How are you accredited/qualified to do
the job?
2 Do you have rent arrears and how are
they managed?
3 How are your tenants referenced?
4 Do you fully reference tenancy guarantors?
5 Who will I be dealing with, do I have one
point of contact for everything or several
different contacts?
6 Can I see a copy of a recent inventory &
AST? (don’t ask for a sample, they’re always
well produced)
7 How much do you charge?
8 What is your current occupancy rate?
9 Can I talk to some of your current Landlords
for a reference?
10 Where are your tenancy deposits held and do you have client money protection in place ?

If you'd like our answers to these questions so you can compare the other agents that you are talking to, call us on 0115 0629770 and speak to Phil, Lauren, or Jonathan.
