In an announcement that will fall flat as a pancake (see what I did there) with most landlords across the city, Nottingham City Council were today given the go-ahead to introduce their much-opposed plan.

This huge licensing scheme, taking in over 30,000 properties, is being introduced on 1st Augsut this year at a cost of over £600 per property.

The city council will be recruiting over 70 new environmental health officers to implenent the scheme and applications need to be made online, or there will be a further charge.

See more about the scheme here.
